Is Ignorance really Bliss?
Sometimes, there are things that you really don't want to know and you're better off not knowing it. However, how can anything be kept in the dark forever? Maybe it can, that we, humans do not know but God knows.
However, if there are things that you don't want to know, but it would clear things up if you know, then maybe you should know. But, what about things that would implicate matters and make it all worse? Then maybe it's better not to know. Or maybe we shouldn't be that sharp and alert about things going on and therefore we wouldn't notice so much too. Hence we wouldn't be questioning so much either. It's good to lead a simple life.
Then again, what really is knowledge? How do we gain knowledge? How can we gain knowledge when we don't know something? If you do not know that something, then how do you even venture to ask what is that something? Is learning even rational? How do we even learn when we don't even know what is there to learn? We so-called learn because we know of that something. But then, is that learning? We already know of that something, but just need to go more in-depth about it. So what really is learning? In this case, we can't say we're LEARNING more simply because it wouldn't make sense. Well, on a day with sun and rain, rain and sun, these thoughts just poured into my mind.
Regardless of it all, live a life pleasing to God, and honouring God always.
