It's over! But I'm gonna miss it. FINALLY, it's over. DipABRSM. Piano. Performing. I can still recall how I was doing up the cover page for my prog notes. Now I don't have to see msn nicks that go "YAY! My exam's over!" and feel sad for myself! Cos like most people took their exams one week before mine, and I was one of the last to take it! But nevertheless I still forced myself to persevere on. (Not like I had a choice) No, it wasn't a bad thing at all. In fact, I'm amazed I can confine myself to a studio and stay there for 3 hours, either reading about Haydn or practising. And interestingly, I like it! I think I'm really gonna miss that part of my life now that I gotta go back to academics! boo! Thanks to Jeremy for making the studio available for me to practise!
Actually, I AM going to miss all that. Doesn't feel good when you have to sit down and mug through the readings. But it feels good when you have to practise for hours!Somehow, I don't really dread practising but look forward to it! In fact, most of the time, it's because I do not have the time that's why I don't practise, not because I don't have the DESIRE to practise. Sometimes I wish I was studying music, and not in NUS. Bah! Accept it! I'm already into my second year.
If you hear how administratively messed up I was one day before my exam, you wouldn't believe that I had gone through this exam alive. On thurs (yesterday) I realised that I forgot to borrow the original score of Schubert!!!! In fact, I had a clean photocopy of the score, but no originals!!! AAAHHH!! Being the panicky me, I started crying for help. LITERALLY. God just suddenly reminded me that I don't have the originals! *phew* Praise God for reminding this blur girl. Thank God he placed Jeremy to help me. Thaaaaanks Jeremy again! And Jon too, for helping me go pick up the score from Jeremy. That was panic case No. 1. At about 10 odd at night, Ditong msned me (we're doing exams at the same time, same day!). All along I assumed my exam was at 1145am. But then Ditong told me hers was 1115am and I realised that something's a little strange. I went to check my details and found out YES, it was 1115! not 1145! Sotong me! Imagine me going to YMS at about 1145am just to hear that I'm half an hour late for my exam! *phew* Thank God for allowing Ditong to remind me. Imagine how thankful I was when I realised all my mistakes/forgetfulness! Praise God for placing reminders for me!
Anyway, I think I kinda slipped for a bit of Schubert and Ferguson. =( The second half of my programme. I thought I started pretty ok though. Viva was good! I love the conversation I had with the examiners. They were assuring. hee. But quick study sucked BIIIIIIIIIGGGGG time. I got the stupid variations thing which changed keys and mood 4 times!!! I'm like ?!?!?!?! Ahhhh!!! Then after I played and went over to them for viva, the examiner said, "I'm sure other candidates will be looking forward to this as well!" with a smirk. Oh well, I'm glad it's over, but I'm definitely gonna miss it, and miss practising too. Especially now, when I've got no motivation to sit at the piano and practise for 3 hours straight. Thanks min for helping with page turns! =)
Praise God for placing little reminders for BIG events for this muddle-headed girl!

Last last Friday was the busiest day I can ever imagine. I feel like I could fly all around the place. Amazing. Happy Birthday on the 29 Sept 2005!
Nothing much happened for the rest of the week other than lots of piano practising and playing class, and school of course. So this entry is about one week late. Better late than never! =)
I need discipline, and strength, and much concentration to do well for my piano dip! Gosh! Help me dear God!
