2005 - FinaleWow, so much happened in December 2005, I can hardly catch up with time, and what I did. Was quite amazing.
First on the list, immediately after my exams, I was off to HK for a week! Did a very rushed packing a few hours before my flight, and before I knew it, I was already on the plane.
Day 1 in HK, settling down and all, trying to get accumstomed to the incoming winter cold. (still quite warm actually, like air-con)
Days 2 and 3, it was waking up terribly early, like 6am to prepare spending a day with our fellow avian friends. Really tiring, the girls ended up complaining quite a bit. We insisted it SHOULD be like a holiday, sleeping late, eating good breakfast, and SHOPPING! =)
Days 4 and 5, finally we got to shop! Cos Jon got quite tired too, waking up so early for the past few days. Yay! Walking along the cool cool streets and shopping is fun! (Even though it's mostly winter clothing)
Days 4, 5 and 6, how can anyone not eat the yummy food in HK???.. That's Jon's favourite Suckling Pork Noodles. That's REALLY fatty! But he loves it. And candy and ice-cream to keep him awake while shopping n walking around!
Can't remember which day, but Dim Sum anyone??? *yum yum* Just eat the prawn chee cheong fun there and you wouldn't want to eat the Singapore one!!!
As we were walking walking along Mongkok, we saw this cool guy holding up a cardboard that says, "1) Believe Jesus. 2) Repent 3)Return to the child you once were." In 2 languages, Chinese and English. Determined guy, standing in the cold, and holding the cardboard upright! He wasn't asking for anything, just hoping that people would take note of what he was holding on to. Real cool! God bless him!
On the last night, we walked from our hotel to Avenue under the Stars. Cool place, icy cold too! Great view, and nice lights! Soooo many stars! Amazing!
One of my favourite pics! So many sttaaaarrrsss!!! =)
On the last day they decided to return to shooting ground. But it was kinda like a bad decision cos it was FFFREEEEEZZZZIIINNNGGG cold and weather was bad. I had to keep hopping around every half an hour to keep myself warm. The windbreaker I brought wasn't warm at all! Sooooo cooooollllldddd!!!
Going home... The plane ride wasn't very comfortable. Was quite tired after touch down in S'pore. And oh gosh, Singapore is really hot!
Next on the list is Derek and Janis' Wedding. What a beautiful couple! Was a wonderful wedding too! Helped Jon with his camera stuff. =)
In the day at Janis' house and Church...
At night at Shangri-La...
God bless this couple! =)
Then it was NUSPE camp, of which I didn't stay over cos of my rashes. But I certainly did enjoy myself when I was there! =) Got to know quite a few people better!
Next on the list was Meta 2005. Took a BIIIG step of faith by agreeing to be a CGL for my first meta. But praise God for a lovely group, even though we only had ONE guy. =) Anyway, God's love is really unconditional, abundant, and overflowing. Praise Him!
I love you guys! You guys were the best-est! Thanks for making my first Meta so memorable! =)
Then it was the two movie outings with my German classmates. I'm glad I got to know them! They're such a fun bunch of people! And we'll be in the same class this coming semester too! Yay!
Check out the two guys, having their photos taken with the phone! They both have funky hairstyle imposed onto them in the camera. hee. You guys make German so fun!
*taken in HK*
It has been an eventful year, with much to reflect about and to thank God for! =)
Love you all who has gone through the entire year with me!
