The Search for the Malay AuntiesToday I went around hunting for the Malay Aunties who work as cleaners in NUS. Be it in the library, along AS3 (as Derek recommended) or at the corner. Today the Malay Aunties all are nowhere to be found! And, when you do not want to deliberately look for them, they're all over the place! Cleaning toilets when I want to use them, sweeping underneath the benches that I'm sitting on. Oh well, that's life isn't it? God's sense of humour. Just wanted to do an interview with them about their ethnicity and couldn't find any. Zero.
Besides the failed search for the Malay Aunties, I'm sooo drowning in work. Social Psych paper due this wed. Bible quiz on fri (really hope I'll scrape through that!). Bible presentation on fri (Oh boy, really dreading this module and feeling the pain of it all!). Religion paper due nxt Monday. And of course, tt's not all. All the other papers coming end of March and early April. Oh God, multiply my time!
And I want to spend more time with God, more time with Jon, more time with family!

DisappointedSometimes guys just don't get it. No matter how explicitly you put forth to them. No flowers for me today! =( Well, just disappointed, not angry or anything. I guess sometimes it's good to not have any expectations. Then I won't be disappointed.
Approaches to study of religion presentation tmr. And I never liked "open" presentations, or rather, pointless tutorials. Why does NUS pay TAs to just sit in class to hear their own students do their jobs? I could have presented 2 lectures of what Chee Kiong did, with the topic given, just that I'll have to do it in 15mins. Tutorials with no aims, V day with no flowers. It sure doesn't feel like a festive season.
Just thankful that God still loves me!

You are so faithfulLike the sun that rises everyday
O You are so faithful
Dear Lord, You are faithful
Like the rain that You bring
And every breath that I breathe
You are so faithful, O Lord
Like a rose that comes alive every spring
O You are so faithful
Dear Lord, You are faithful
Like the life that You give
To every beat of my heart
You are so faithful, O Lord
I see the cross and the price You had to pay
I see the blood that washed my sins away
And in the midst of the storm
Through the wind and the waves
You'll still be faithful
O Lord, You are faithful
And when the stars refuse to shine
And time is no more
You'll still be faithful
You'll still be faithful, O Lord

What a day!Bad sore throat from last week --> dry cough --> medication from doc --> cough with flu! But thank God that it's getting better. Like I'm not coughing so much now. yay! Just bouts of coughs here and there.
And on my way out of church just tonight after worship prac, I missed a step and sprained my ankle. Amazing huh? Think God's teaching me to rest, otherwise He'll force me to stay at home. It was like super painful, cos I felt giddy, like the pain was killing me! So, after much persuasion from Jon, I headed to the doc AGAIN. SECOND time this week. The doc prescribed me some painkillers and cream for my ankle. And also gave me more medication for my cough turned flu. I think I better go home early these few days to rest, otherwise God will force me to. I hope I won't have to see the doc a THIRD time this week. Oh God, I pray that You'll heal me real quick so that I can start functioning properly without the drowsy medication!
Tmr I'll be meeting Sandra, an exchange student from Greece with James and also Jenny from China, together with Shereen. Exciting! =) Hope these two lunch dates will brighten up my week!
