The Age of Marriages
Got an angbao from my cousin who just got married mid last year. And I'm gonna be an auntie in August. How fast time flies. This year, the brother of my that cousin who's to-be-a-dad soon is also getting married. Witnessed like a zillion weddings last year. So many people getting married. What's SDU for? =p
Then of course reunion dinner aunties will pop the question, "Got boyfriend?" Then I'll look at them and smile (the kind of smile - got, but too early to talk about like marriages). Maybe because I'm the third youngest cousin. So all my cousins are happily attached, or getting married. To think once upon a time we were still little kids standing only at the knees of the adults, running all over the place, making loads of noise. And now we sit down and talk about uni, work, etc etc. Totally different, but nevertheless meaningful. And yes, of course the times when we were running all around making a din were meaningful too!
Still not in the very festive mood, even after reunion dinner. Cos no new clothes. Oh well. =( Gotta make my old clothes look new. Quite hard to do. But will try. =)
Memory verse:
"It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God, that is - our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: " Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."
1 Corinthians 1:30-31
