Col 3:12-14 'Therefore as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtus put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.'
It always seems eaiser to talk than to really do it. So many times we have spoken about this, over watchnight stayover, over bible study, over many times that we meet up. It saddens me to see how everyone turns out to be so unconcerned about everyone and everything. When at the beginning of the year all we did was to talk about who should do what at each month, but yet, I don't see any effort being put in when it's been decided. What happened to responsibilities? Is God really not working amongst us anymore?
I don't think so. God has always been around, but we have always seem to be making the gap between us and God further and further away. What happened to the love which binded us together in unity? The brotherly and sisterly love that I used to see and feel so much in the past? Sometimes I feel that the people who are studying overseas seem to bother much more than anyone who's around, locally. What happened to the people who are supposed to be around, but are not around anymore? Now it's just bits and pieces, no one cares to share, no one cares to meet. Who keeps us together? God. And it is only through Him that we can continue to move on, TOGETHER. Everyone's made unique in His image, but we all have a common purpose, that is whatever we do, is to worship and glorify Him. Actually, things are simple, but why make it so difficult? But then again, who am I to judge?
When we don't have a heart for the group anymore, we will not make any effort to keep it moving nearer towards Christ. So where has that encouragement, concern, love and care for one another gone to? I yearn to see us moving TOGETHER, moving closer to God each day. So much for talking, everytime we sit down to set group vision. It's time to act, and show that you all care.
We are put together for a reason, it is in His plan that we are placed in a group, so let's pray for OUR direction. Let's set time aside to pray TOGETHER. I hope that will be soon.
God is in control. But will we trust in Him?
